If you want to use any other image unlike the plain then also do the same and paste above it. If you want the edges to be soft and smooth, you can use another key too, and then press ALT+CRTL+D and you’ll get feather option then. Set the range to which you need some blurriness or feather around your image. Then paste it on whatever workspace you need. You can adjust it according to yourself.
